French newspaper Le Figaro has reported that France’s anti-terrorist executive (sous-direction anti-terroriste- SDAT) has ordered Nice’s urban surveillance authorities to destroy all CCTV footage of the Nice Attacks on Bastille Day on the 14th of July 2016 that killed 84 people and injured another 100.
The French government claims it wants to prevent ISIS, a US and Israeli creation, from gaining access to videos of the attacks for the purposes of propaganda. They also claim that the destruction of evidence is intended to protect the families of the victims.
Nice authorities have turned down the request.
Now, here is my ‘conspiracy theory’. Israel-based Nice System operates all the 5,000 CCTV cameras in several French cities including Nice. The company was founded in 1986. Its current CEO is Barak Eilam.
